Neo-Baroque building from 1909-12, additional extension is from 1924-26 following the project of architect Karel Špera. One of the last Prague neo-baroque realizations.
The building is a seat of the Institute of Geology, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, Petrology and Departments of Geography, Demography, Cartography. Within the building it is also possible to visit the Chlupač Museum of the History of the Earth, the Mineralogical Museum and the Map Collection.
Since 2014, a student club and a bistro have been accessible in the building, serving all visitors to the building.
